MEDITATION AND SUCCESS IN BUSINESS.

Meditation has gained immense popularity as it has grown in popularity in environments such as Wall Street and Silicon Valley. Executives of the caliber of Jack Dorsey (CEO of Twitter and Square) organize meditation retreats and every year hundreds of Wall Street traders follow the founder of the Bridgewater Association, Ray Dalio to learn transcendental meditation. Tim Ferris also said that almost all the 140 successful people included in his book "Tribe of Mentors" had a habit of meditation. To give even more support to the effectiveness of this method, we find various research supported by organizations of the highest international importance such as the US Federal Agency or even the National Institute of Healt who have attributed physical changes in the brain to constant meditative activity. Bill Ford, president of the Ford Motor Company, meditates every day; in an article in the Harvard Business Review he said "meditation helped me improve my productivity, but also made decisions with more kindness." Marc Benioff, founder of Salesforce, recommends to all aspiring entrepreneurs and meditates every morning before going to work; he started practicing meditation at the suggestion of Steve Jobs.


We want to emphasize that meditation does not have to be a practice based on mysticism and no type of religious belief is needed. Meditation must be perceived as a gym in which to train the brain and to improve the quality of work and personal life. The benefits it brings are many, for example a lowering of the stress level, an improvement in memory, concentration and finally an increase in self-observation capacity. The entrepreneurial path is studded with uncertainty and risk therefore, consequently it becomes extremely important to cultivate those more abstract skills linked to the dynamics of managing emotions. Meditation therefore shields itself from the fury of one's life by preventing the entrepreneur from acting according to emotions that would ruin the entrepreneurial future.
