The polo shirt is undoubtedly one of the most iconic garments for men's fashion. This clothing item has always been a symbol of class and elegance and is worn not only for formal situations but also for more casual ones. The men's polo shirt represents one of the clothing items that can never be missing, a must have for any person. It is in fact a shirt that can be worn by anyone, regardless of age and on several occasions. For example, it can be used at work in environments where not too formal but not too casual clothing is required. In the summer months also wearing a polo shirt could be a valid alternative to the classic shirt. The polo can be worn in the office with a pair of tailored trousers, a cotton blazer and a pair of lace-up shoes. Of course the polo can also be worn for leisure time, for an aperitif with friends or a simple walk in the city. On this occasion it is possible to wear it with a pair of jeans or with soft cotton trousers. Alternatively, during very hot periods, the polo shirt can be combined with short shorts such as Bermuda shorts. To complete the outfit then there will be a pair of leather or fabric moccasins.

Choosing a polo shirt is not as simple as it seems, since one must be sure to buy the right size for one's physicality. Generally it is a garment that has a soft enough fit that gently caresses the body shapes and should not be worn tightly.

To evaluate the right size to buy, keep in mind that the half sleeve must reach half the biceps, the seam of the sleeve must match the shoulder hanging, while in the back the polo must arrive exactly on the lower back. Let's move on to the sleeves which can be long or short according to your needs. The long-sleeved polo shirt, for example, precisely because it is halfway between a shirt and a shirt, can also be worn in the office, perhaps by combining it with elegant trousers and a jacket and accompanying the outfit with a nice matching belt.

If you want to dare, you can try using it with a tailored suit (for the more daring, you can even venture with the short sleeve).

As for the short-sleeved polo shirt, it is usually worn outside the trousers for a more informal style, but if you want it can be slipped into the pants and combined with a belt for an elegant outfit. Better to avoid the use of striped polo shirts for elegant outfits, these must in fact be used exclusively for more casual outfits. Finally, regarding the polo shirts in bright colors, we recommend combining them with neutral trousers in beige or gray colors.
